    Lightbulb Math Contest

EDITED: I replaced the 2nd and 3rd person to a litteral name so that you can picture the flow easily.

Ok, math question: You saw a Red Arlor cap for warrior in auction cost 97k only!!!, so you decided to borrow Remiem 50k, and another 50k from Samhayne to buy the said vanity. After you bought the vanity how much gold left on your pocket? Answer: 3k, ryt? Then you decided to return the 1k to Remiem and another 1k to Samhayne, so you still owe Remiem and Samhayne 49k each... How much gold left on you???
    1k ryt???
    Thus:
    49k + 49k + 1k (on you pocket)=99k...
    Where is the 1k????
The one that can answer will receive a jester vanity set! :-) sorry Im poor

you shoudnt add the borrowed money and the money you gave back together. add the borrowed money frst then add the change separately.
    50k+50k = 100
    100-97k = 3k
give them 2k so u still have 1k

    100k - 2k = 98k

    98k - 1k u have = 97k.

    lol hope im right

    ?..taxes...lol...

    U have the suit (97k) + 1k gold = 98k
    And ur friends (-49k each) = -98k

    98k+(-98k)= 0

This passage is wrong xP xP if you sum what you remain and what you have to do is also like sum beans and carrots as same mat to make a cook recipe

You should sum what you decide to consider,or what you borrow or what you need to pay and you will have the correct answer
Need to pay: 49x2(remain) +1(played to you) +1 payed to your friend total 100

the 1k in this case is the trick to fall the donkeys( because you haven't pay to noone)

    50+50=100
    100-97=3
    3-2=1
You borrow 100. Paid out 97+2=99. You have 1k in your pocket.
I guess this is what you are asking?!

Ok i know this question. I have encounter it before. Actually the 1k has gone nowhere. The question is just tricking u. Anyway what you do is give 500 to each of your friend from the 1k u hav in ur pocket. So now u owe them 48.5k each. So 48.5k + 48.5k = 97k and u had 3k before. 1k each to friend and 500 given later. So 48.5k+48.5k+1k+1k+500+500= 100k . Hope this was nice explanation. Ask if u have any question

Exactly so the 1 k is in your pocket. We can all make up the rest of story for where it went. Bought 1k worth of pots, bought egg worth 1k, have to someone else etc etc. Point is that one k is with you to you do something with it.

    49k (you owe me) + 49k (you owe to your friend) = 98k + 1k (on your pocket) = 99k....
Again, where is the 1k more??? Remember, you borrowed a sum total of 100k all in all.
