    Default why use blaster?

My dps from sunblessed bow to mega blaster drops by about 40 dps. Why would you use the blaster? Anything I am missing?

Assuming your using a Void set, a blaster has better bonus stats than a bow. A jacob void helm + void armor + mega blaster is the set.

Also, if things haven't changed, blaster had a further range than bow last time I checked.

I am not using void set, sold it before the price drops.

But even so bow was doing more dps. So confused on why is better.

Even with bonus stats didn't make up for the dps.

    Is mega blaster area effect?

Yes bow has more visible DPS, meaning when you actually compare the blaster and the bow, the bow shows better stats. Though when you actually use a void set, it shows the complete set bonus with a blaster.

Nope, blaster is not an AoE gun.

I'm pretty sure the bonus stats of a void set is in the forum somewhere, you just have to find it :P But I'm pretty confident to say blaster suits me better than a bow. Its one reason why most birds use a blaster instead of a bow.

The void set also has noticably more regen, crit hit, and armor. So... since you will be critting quite a bit more often... The void set is considered better because critical hit adds to dps. So take that into account as well.

Doesn't it do a mini-stun, like the old Ryylox?

Yes it does that too, you notice it because your enemies stumble while coming towards you. Really helps with kiting .

The question is fluff, would you run if you had a real life mega blaster of void or cyber blaster of void pointing towards you, locked and ready to load. Set at auto attack. And which one would you be more scared of: Mega blaster of void, Cyber blaster of the void, or sunblessed bow of the void.

If we're going real life on this thread, you should consider the fact that the only weapon that can physically hurt you is the bow. Blasters haven't really been invented yet.

But blasters have better range + set bonus. If you just want to do high dps to one target, a bow might be better but overall, the blaster is better. Despite the annoying sound.
