Best Ring For Warriors (besides arcane)

For those interested, this is a comparison of the level 36 and 41 archon rings of potency and the level 31 Mythic ring when each ring has all grand gems.

*Note: subtract 93 armor from the mythic ring.

The reason being that the archon ring only shows its armor stat when equipped (it is 93 armor)

Judge which ring you prefer. IMO, the archon ring is the best for PvE due to 93 more armor. However, I don't plan on buying the level 41 version for a measly +1.7dps.

The "+2.5% armor" stat is a lie. When equipped, no matter what gear you have, it adds 93 armor (this goes for the level 36 and level 41 version).

Having 5% armor passive will not change the stats of the ring nor its effectiveness.

The ring is best thought as having a "hidden" stat that you cannot preview in the auction house but will be observable on your inspect page of a +93 increase in your armor stat.

Nice. I thought this is only a damage ring as the armor bonus is not visible through preview in store. I wish I can loot it. BTW I m currently using winterstar ring of warfare 36 version. It gives 74 armor

Good choice armor wise. But as rings go; yes, the archon potency is the highest armor stat of any ring I know of. However, it goes unnoticed since the ring must first be equipped.

Edit: Bah, I realized what I did. I used my phone to attach them. I had the same problem setting up my first Sig.

the tradeoff of almost every other stat (hp, str, dps, dmg, mana, int, etc) just doesnt make it worth it to me. If i wanted to pick up an extra armor, i would just run with my abaddon... especially since i already have blood ruby

The lvl41 potency version has higher HP, damage, and DPS as well as 93 more armor.

If I max the 5% defense passive will I get more armor even if I use this ring (weapon + helmet + armor + ring + pendant + defense passive %)? Or this ring cancels the defense passive? I haven't max the defense passive yet but I want to know if I will get more armor independently if I use or not this type of ring. Now that we can see the passives I will thanks if someone knows about this.

this is my +11STR Ruby vs a perfectSTR lvl41 Archon Potency. As you can see, even with the +93 armor, +15STR, +36HP of the Archon, its minimal increases in all other areas. The stats of the Archon will even be worse once i get 2 more grand gems in my Ruby. Just doesnt make sense to pay 5.9m vs 2m.

As you can see, the archon has a hidden armor value (it is supposed to be 93 armor but I have 5/5 passive armor).

The archon has more Damage, DPS, and armor than any other ring.

If you want to argue, please post attachments that work (I can wait. Trust me, I know the struggle .-.).

The +93 armor alone makes the archon vastly better than a mythic ring.

This said, I think it is fair to settle for the much cheaper lvl36 archon potency.

The archon shows up stronger in yours though...and bonus damage makes it stronger even if the mythic ring has all perfects.

When you have the Blood Ruby highlighted in the auction house, shouldn't your armor value show -97 armor?
