It is NOT true that there is only ONE shadow per Captive Audience level.

I have no clue how this rumor started. I noticed it yesterday in one of the pick up groups I was in. We found a shadow and someone said to not bother with the other unopened capsules because there's only one shadow per Captive Audience. The group broke a few more capsules, no shadows, and left. Leaving me all alone with two unopened capsules. I open one and viola! Shadow. An essence one at that. I try to invite group back, but nada. I invite a friend in and we kill it.

I thought it was just those people. Tonight however, I was in a group with people I thought were NOT noobs. And what do they do? We kill one shadow and they all leave except myself and the maker. We open other capsules and find another shadow.

From my experience yesterday AND today, I would say 2/3 of Captive Audience levels with 1 shadow will have multiple shadows. I just did a level with 4 shadows. 3 does not seem unusual to me.

If you find ONE shadow, the chance is good that you will find another. If you find none, well there're none :P

I was gonna leave this alone, but really, why would you leave unopened prisoner capsules after clearing the corridors?

I've gotten three before in one map. It's rare but happens. I would find better teammates

Oh my teammates are fine. Usually. I was in multiple groups, that one was the weakest, and it wasn't bad. It just wasn't as coordinated as the private groups and friend groups. However, the leaving thing: I had no idea there was such a rumor until last night and then I saw it again today, so I felt like I had to say something. Particularly since the 4 on one map isn't a rumor. My friends and I just did one like that and I just collected my cyber blaster. Course, maybe it was because I was maker :P

I did not even need the last two shadows but I stayed to finish the run.

Why when you've got teammates that can break the prisoner capsules from almost out in the hallway, thus giving the group a good chance of not drawing aggro, would you walk right up to the capsule? I think it's so you can run around with the Yeti or Croc chasing you :P

It looks like the nerfed the spawn rate of the shadows. 0 Shadows in 5 runs...

Im glad im done that quest(s) guys opening all prisoners while we are killing the main mob made me want to PVP thier a*s.

That's where boot button is VERY useful. We had one guy that did not seem to understand that so... the button.

And another who seemed a bit unaware of his skills and range. He apologized a lot and eventually got: Stay in corridor! The mob will come chase you and you can use all your skills to your heart's content without an errors. Unless, of course, you know what you're doing :P

I have seen 4,3,4 in a row then nothing for 7 rounds was I getting upset!

I think the average is 2 per round, no hard evidence but seems like this too me.

I think the chances are random though it's possible the prisoners are set when the level is created. Not sure when prisoner creation happens. I would love to see all capsules be shadows. That would be hilarious.

But yeah, you can get streaks of no shadows. Oh well.

I feel better after reading this. After many unsuccessful tries, maybe my 4,5 or 6er is right around the corner.
are they ever not in a container?
