Cutting Parth out (loser ), let's count the gold we can see​ (I won't include gear we can't physically see). I am only counting high cost items as well (no 1-2mil smalls). All values are rounded because I'm lazy. Also, it is really late so I may get a few market values wrong (specifically non warrior gear).

14 arcane rings (14 x 90 = 1,260)
4 arcane mauls (4 x 20 = 80)
3 arcane staves (3 x 30 = 90)
1 arcane hooks (10) [yes, that is generous but I probably shorted the mauls so get over it]
4 mythic razorbacks (4 x 20 = 80)
6 Solid gold vanity sets (6 x 10 = 60)
Roughly 100mil in assorted vanities and myth gear.
We all know they have 1-5 arcane let's each (500)

Grand total: 2,180,000,000 gold (probably, too late for this)
Or, 128,235,294 each (when the net total is divided by 17)

On the other hand, the rich/poor divide in AL is very topical right now. The image and reactions to it might just show that more clearly than all the words about it in various other threads.

I bought plat in the past to get some stuff and then the gold vanity and goblin event arrived in tandem as if to say uh no loser, this isn't the kind of game where some real money makes a ton of difference, it's way more like the real world. Which is fascinating considering it's all fantasy on the surface of it.

That iseenoobs guy? I have this (unjustified) image of him as an angry fat 12 year old in a messy bedroom, stuffing his face and typing obscenities.

I want great gear in game and access to cool stuff, but I really don't want stuff like the gold vanity, which now just makes me think spoilt brat - even though I have also seen decent people wearing it - no offence at all intended to anyone in the OP screenshot.

Recent events make me look at freemium games more favourably, as well as renewing the search for good mobile f2p games that led me here in the first place. I actually have zero intention of ditching AL, but I reckon I need a standby game for weeks like the past one - when this forum was a whole lot more interesting than the game itself.

I have no disdain or bad mojo towards anyone in the OP picture, but be aware that everyone in that picture has spent a small fortune of real money to have the items that they have. They certainly did not get those farming that i can assure you.

I'll name the exceptions for this:

• Alitarose - she's obtained all her items through farming.
• Predator - he also has not spent much money on this game.
• Musasun - same as Alitarose

I don't do the trials that force me to spend money (although I did try one but never received my plat) but I do this k some amount of platinum is required to play. Whether you use plat to open locks or for plat revives is up to your digression.
