Alterran "Risk", anyone?

I had an idea for a game to do a contest with. Help me feel it out in case there is something I'm overlooking. Feedback will also tell me if there's enough interested players ( will be prize $ for winning).

 

The idea is kinda like the board game "risk". Each player starts in one country (14 true towns, 14 players) and attacks and defends with the intent to rule the world. It is "turn based" meaning everyone gets a chance at conquering other players who share a border, until one rules all. The first to declare war by posting in the official thread has that advantage. The more active a player is in that thread, the better.

I imagine that the fights will be pvp *in ANY level range*.
Say you represent wildwood, you want to war with forest haven, you would declare war in the official thread, then communicate with your adversary what level you would prefer. You and your opponent hash it out, until a level is decided. I figure that in the event that neither of you have a toon ready at a level that corresponds, anyone would have the ability to make a lv 10 or 15 twink to fight it out. After all, this is about a world champion who should have what it takes to take down anyone and maybe everyone.
I will also accept players substituting a different champion in the case that no mutual level is agreed on. It would be up to the player on how they would compensate such a "mercenary" for their blood.

I will make a separate official thread for this where progress will be kept. It will contain a map that I will be updating as needed with shifting borders and current champions. I envision that the official thread will be where players declare war on their neighbors, then they would decide by themselves what level and what time to fight. Results should be screen grabbed and sent to me as proof, until all players have had a chance to declare war once (unless they were immediately defeated). Then the process repeats each round until fewer players repeat the process.

Will there be alliances ? Special conditions set by players? I'm open to it, this is war.
It could be over in a week but more likely it will take a while before there is only one ruler of all Alterra.

So, any feed back? Are you interested in competing? No need to claim a town just yet, we're in beta here.

Yes. The players are free to arrange among themselves what levels as they agree on. They could both decide to send two people who ARENT any of the 14 contestants.

The basic rules of risk are that you attack neighbors. So in the case you were the king of the sewers, balefort castle would be a likely target.dig?

LOL I am watching it too! I started 2 days ago, I'm in season 4 atm. But yeah I like the idea, btw what season are you in?😄 If you're still in the beginning, expect a lot of your favorite characters to die 😞

Two further thoughts;
First..
Say we get 16 people who want to play, 2 too many for towns. I can see that there might be preliminary fights to decide who is the boss of where, before the main world war. I'd be flexible in order to have fun with it.

Second..
I'd like to have multiple rewards AND the largest reward for becoming the ruler of Alterra.
Say first person to win 3 cities gets x
First person to get 5 cities gets x times two
First person to get 10 cities gets x times 3
Then main prize for all 14 under one banner.

I'm thinking that once the 14 representatives of the 14 towns are decided, those players would invent their own titles however they see fit. King, emperor, khalisi, THE one and true BRONX BOMBER, the Bieber, chief, devkiller, That's up to them.
Would be boss if that became your forum title but I digress (HINT HINT Devs!!)

At least on ios, you cannot see both humania and forest haven. You can swipe left and right to see all towns but if I were to take a screen grab of what I can view it would cut out some of the map.



See, it will always cut off some portion of a screen grab, at least for me.

Besides the fact photoshop for ipad sucks out loud lol

I could do that yeah, that would bring the total towns down to 12 if I visualize what your saying correctly. That (or something similar) would be good if we wanted this to work for fewer players.
My idea was to have any town you could hang out in be its own thing, and places like skellers would not get represented as a true town.

The whole thing can be adjusted to fit the number of players, if enough wanted to do it. If not enough interest I'll just keep my mills I was gonna offer as prizes cuz I'm greedy heheh
