    A simple way to make these gems slightly better than tarlok gems without making them rediculous is give the equivilant stat to primary, for example a super ursoth gem in a lv 41 item would be +8 to dex,str, ot int.

    I'd like to see armor gems, or crit gems. Instead of being better, how about they just be different. I like when we have lots of choices and what is best is not always obvious. It makes for more variety of builds.

    The idea of speed gems is cool too. There's a limit to how fast you can go, of course, but it would be nice to have a bit of a pick-me-up when not using a speed pet. Would be nice if speed worked in pvp too, but since it doesn't at this point, it would probably make speedy gems kind of a waste.

    As much as I like the idea of armor and crit gems, it would be too OP.
    Tanks would be able to get 2.7k+ armor with supers gems and rogues would have like 60%+ crit.
    But let's wait and see what sts got for us

    The problem I see is that people like me would running around with a negative Dex stat. Still, some system of sacrifice one stat for another would be interesting.
    The tarlok rage gems was fail, but a similar one will be good, bit less str, but instead of dex, it should give armor as secondary stat.

    Just FYI Ralchior, while gems that add a proc or other such effect would be cool, currently socketed gems are not unique. The problem with procs is that they wouldn't stack, and not being unique, it would be possible for a user to load up their sword with multiple proc gems thinking that they are getting something out of doing so, but they wouldn't really. So, no plans for proc gems until we can set aside some time to sort that issue out.

    Mana/sec and Heal/sec would be cool if we could actually see our stats in those categories. In Pocket Legends you can see your mana regen and health regen stats. In AL we really have no idea what those stats are.

    I don't think they will be used to craft gems. Sam has said they will be used to make something. No mention of gems. I'm not even sure anyone will use them to craft anything other than the new crates. I'm not too pumped about them serving a dual purpose. Unless they are looted in extreme numbers they should serve a single role imo.
