They're making changes based on the feedback they received on the Goblin event, so this is taking time. I'd personally wait and have a better event then a rushed event, that is out "on time".
Also, I hear gym memberships are relatively cheap. Plenty of other things to do.
Those who say it cannot be done should not stop those who are doing it.
