It is an NPC pet, essentially similar to Ulfang.
Go to camp boulder and wait for ulfang to spawn.
Yes. It's cool. Maybe any history about spirit Ulfang with this pet.

That's one of the only two pets that we have seen but can't use. The other one is a gray-colored frog next to the Beastmaster, in Stronghold again.
