Why does the BiS gear have str as secondary stat? Dex gives crit so why go w str over dex ? Is the extra health a must?

Dexterity isn't that necessary and yes, extra health is handy at times.

Strength points also add to the effectiveness of your shield in addition to adding hp

So those combined would make str a priority over dex, even w the dam/dps gain that comes w increased crit?

str wins out almost always because of hp and shield times. but if u have very good dmg u go dex and stun lock imo. get crit passives and int dex build and with good pet u win. its hard to do for most mages, so I say stick with str.
