Sale removing first time buyer bonus

So I was hoping to get that juicy bonus of plat at the now discounted price and I realized that the plat sale removes the bonus plat you get when you buy plat for the first time? Is this supposed to happen? If so seems a little bit messed up. Why take away a benefit that is there because you made it a sale?

First time buyer discount is better. Also a note is that if you buy platinum during the sale you will not get a first time buyers bonus afterwards. You will never be able to use it. I can say I don't understand why it works this way but it does.

I don't like that either..I was hoping that after the update, I could get 248 plat + 2 plat from NativeX and buy a Scorch

It's better in the sense that if you repeatedly buy platinum packs, it's a better cost ratio.

However, if you email support - they should be able to grant you the bonus platinum. I know that they have done so in the past so good luck!
