Maybe even more than 75%, even my friends (both virtual and real life) that have bought platinums regularly also feel that this once good game maybe coming to an end.
It's really isn't about all Arcane/Mythic/Legendary, Over Power or whatever, we're aware of the FUN FACTOR and VALUE FOR MONEY when we play a game.

There was never any official announcement that a new mythic armor and helm was coming. I made the suggestion a few days ago and now everyone thinks it is happening and keeps asking about it. LOL

So, after all the thousands of complaints of Nekro as being just another Arcane ring (because it requires a similar arcane component) and this leading to wider thoughts about P2W. I've heard people say "STG labels this game a F2P MMO, but they should label it as a gambling casino game because it's less of an MMO every season". That is true, if you ask the AL community on an honest vote, they will agree.

Don't get us wrong here, I mean the platinum content is what keeps the game alive and what pays for your salaries but there is always another solution out. More of a balance between the F2P/P2W .

The problem here is that most of the 'good' items like the arcanes and the mythics are ALL in or have something to do with GRAND LOCKED CRATES OF THE WATCH. This means there will always be a gap between the poor and the rich, no matter the content within. The rich people are basically your main audience at the moment because the new content rakes in money from them since they want all the new things - lets take the Elondrian event LB for example: Sure, it may give out rewards like a banner and a dovabear to normal players, but it is the people who spend 20-50m or 10k plat (and effort) that make it to the LB. Even the map was clearly meant for Plat grinders since there were only 6 enemies (which you can one hit) and a boss.

The people don't mind having arcanes in Locked crates as it can be something of a goal to make money for and buy from the AH. However, it doesn't mean that ALL items have to be in Locked crates.

A pet like Nekro isn't OP. If you slightly nerf the stats (to say 8% dmg, 8% crit, 20 primary and 15 str, int, dex) and make the quest something completely farmable, then the players would not have these reactions. Sure, the stats may be not as strong as others, but it is still FREELY FARMABLE. But of course this won't happen now since the pet is already released.

So what are STG's new plans? The L41 Mythic Armor and Helm have to be the next priority. I say to make them farmable and not from Locked crates. Or the helm farmable and the armor in locked crates at the very least. And by farmable, I mean completely farmable in elites as super RARE drops. But even if they release the new mythics at this point, the new itemisation system would be a flop because we are already 3/5 into the season and the new gear would be replaced next season (unless the stats are like OP )

Any overall thoughts?

No, I don't know about your suggestion. I am simply asking if it is - after all, we haven't gotten a new mythic helm/armor after the initial.

The huge gap is also what's keeping the ring at it's huge price I agree with Rav on this one. We need a new ring. We've been using ours since level 31. That's like wearing fashion from the 90s.

The balancing to AL initially, and to a degree still, showed a glimmer of hope for me. Many plat only items (elixirs, inventory slots, event running, stash slots, character slots, and now revives) have been adapted to a tradeable format. Good. STG makes money and gold can still buy the best items.

This said, some large mistakes have been recently made.

1) the arcane ring. Unlike previous arcane items, the ring is useable by all three classes. This makes it 3 times as desireable and the price reflects that.
- Increasing drop rate or making 3 different version as was done with mythic amulets would have made more sense.

2) Ursoth gear. It killed two elite maps. There is no point to farm Alargan or Redtail anymore. Now, other maps are over farmed making loot even less valuable.
- Ursoth gear should have been a buffed version of dragonscale gear so it didn't hurt the elite market as harshly.
- Events have become an LB dash at end game that few participate in and a chance for twinks to upgrade their gear. Three weeks is too long to do the same quests and easy bosses over and over.
- Crate gear is always worthless. Why were the best helms and armors put in them as a legendary item?
