Are you accidentally attempting to log into the test server, when you want to log into the actual AL server? The icons for the two are very easy to mix up.
The test server is closed, thus it'll say, "down for maintenance."

Lol can't log in.. Always say "connection failed" by Google Play
Edit: Got a bug, just restart the app and now is fine lol

Oddly, I just attempted to login.

I am getting, "failed to connect to AL server. Please check your internet connection," after I attempt to log into my account.
Tried with both my WiFi and my 4G (both of which are working/connected to the internet), but still appears when attempting to login.
