Gun for bosses and staff for mobs is the normal answer but IMO it all depends on which proc you want for te occasion . At least if you are talking about legendary ones. Otherwise elon rifle or kershal scepter would be the best.
If you are gonna pvp, go for expedition rifle of brutality, or elondrian rifle of brutality. PvE, magmatic totem of brutality or potency, and Ker'shal scepter
Or if you can only affort one weapon. I prefer Elon Gun. I been using both....But I love gun more... It does a good job in Pve and PvP. Take care

Guns target a single enemy while staffs will hit multiple target. If I had both I'd probably use a gnarled rifle for bosses and PvP, and a kershal scepter for mobs.

Stat wise its kersh hands down. But Idk about that proc. You let me use once but I didn't really get a feel for it. The root and capn amurica shield is op. And I've seen 1k DPS gun mages. I think milk had 1k with rifle right?

IK. It just is slow as f for auto... and the root doesn't proc much. And if it does you can't see it anyways so freaking small. Why they give us tiny root? We need a root fluffer.

Roots have chance to spread after their effect is over, js. Overall elo myth gun got the best procs out of the three new mythic weaps.
