Sorry not making fun of anyone. Just a phrase so to speak. For me the more likely answer is that the devs messed up code and it is just now being discovered.
The talons were an example. We've had a few updates lately ( one "fix" for quests completely messed up), so to me the simplest answer is most likely.
Namely sts messed these up very recently.

All good I didn't get your previous post right. As i said I also think theres some simplier clue beyond. So you'd assume that some recent update may have affected these particular items turning them from l75 to l71? Well everything is posible and this is more credible than that guys storry. Still it would be pretty surprising bug. Talon bug simply affected all talons. This would have needed some reason why the other scythes/talons remained unchanged.

Remember before the deep mt bundle was introduced?
Someone found it in their stash, wore it around town and threads popped up saying wth!?
Turned out the new vanity shared some code (admitted assumption) that caused the old Santa outfit to become the deep mt jacket briefly. I had one before they were available.
The commonality I see here is one handed weapons. So that's what I guess is the code that has been messed up.
If bits of code are shared in many places it would explain the devs statement that "it is easier to make a new game than fix an old one. "

They "fix" one thing, and several unforeseen situations cascade.

If more instances of the same issue appear in following days, it will point out your guess as correct. With only 2 so far, it's really hard to say. My experiences from programming (however shallow) makes me assume that such an error in code would affect whole group of items, not only few. Sure they might be some surprising bounds and relations in code causing some coincidence which results in that but that would be really rare case.
