    Default weapon stat question

    Could someone explain to me why when I look at weapons in the auction house for my mage how two identical weapons will increase my damage and dps differently.
    Also, damage is not effected by strength or dex for a mage is it?

    It could have to do with gems, type (brutality, potency, etc), level. I won't comment on the strength/Dex thing because honestly I'm not positive about if they give damage/dps and I they do how much is given
    ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

    This is because, sometimes two items, that look the same, may be of different levels, or have different names
    example: Magmatic Totem of Potency and Magmatic Totem of Fatality
    They both say "Magmatic Totem" however, they end with different words.

    The suffix at the end affects the stats

    For example:

    Warrior Weapons

    Assault = Dmg (Str/dex)
    Will = Armor/tanking (Str/int)
    Ebezaanec|Ebezairec|Ebezcookie|Trisomy|Apothem

    Following the Code

    Thanks guys. I thought they had the same name but I went back and checked and I was looking at two different weapons. Doh!
