It's probably just regular maintenance or an update to fix the lag that's been going on a lot lately.
I don't know. I suddenly got a message that said "an error has occurred" and then couldn't log back in. There was no system messages saying the sever would be going under maintenance or anything.

Thats exactly what happened to me. Its back up now, but it just kept saying "an unknown error has occurred" weird...
Ok it just happened again... It has something to do with renaming/ creating new characters. I tried to create a character and the error message came up, then it said down for maintenance again.

I'm glad I'm not the only one experiencing this. It's been like this since the cap release for me, granted I've always lagged since I only play on 3G/4G, but it's be exceptionally worse since the cap released.
