Darkwitch Hat...

First of all, kudos to STS for all the new awesome hats! They're great.

However, the Darkwitch hat design needs to be changed. Why? Because the witch hat was a rare vanity item from Halloween. Adding cheap ones to the store takes away their specialness. No more, "WHAT HAT IZ THAT!!?!" comments, which are a little annoying, but still.

We bought sets to receive those hats, and now people can't get them any more. Yes, I know they're vanity so you can wear a helmet under it, but it's the appearance we go for. I don't think it's necessarily selfish, but rather, protecting the rarity of special items. What if they released tradable headphones that dropped? It just isn't right.

Eh this happens all the time. I used to have a super rare heavy mace, possibly the only one in the game, now it's easy to get. I bought an open face helm just for the look, then when AO3 came out all battleforged and rageborn helms looked exactly like the one I had spent plat on.

The only reason I think this is different is because the Vanity With Hat is no longer attainable.

While I agree with what Royce said, those items were straight up plat items. You knew what you were buying before you get it, and it was only a few plat for the open face helms. People who have a witch hat shelled out 30-50 plat to buy a few halloween packs, just hoping for the hat. The devs even addressed the issue with refunding half of the people's plat who went on a crazy spending binge to get them. Now they are pretty much useless.

Exactly my thoughts. They're rare discontinued items we spent platinum on several times in order to get one. And I love my little witch hat on my archer.

Please don't pointlessly bump threads (it is against forum rules). I know you feel strongly, but I can't imagine they will change them at this point. How would that be fair to those who spent plat on the new witch hats? Maybe they could add a different colored band around them, but I think you're gonna have to live with there being lots of witch hats now...

Apparently you haven't seen how much Spacetime listens to feedback. It never hurts to fight as long as you're not spamming. I'm keeping it all within this thread. And in order to make this not "pointless," I will suggest a plan of action!

-make the new witch hats still look good but give them a different design. Because I doubt many people have bought them and will mind a change as long as it's good.
