Default How to Improve my lvl 50 tank.

I would love some suggestions on making a better tank.

    I'm currently using:

    Guardian's Helmet of Hate
    Guardian's Kite Shield of Hate
    Shadow Hax of Hate
    Cyber Armor of Rift

I like the one handed weapons, so I can increase my shield.

I also have Guardian's Battlesword of Hate and Shadow Swords of Hate
Does any of the Hate weapons have any procs?

Would a Rift or Cyber Rift set, with the set bonus be a better option for now?
I'm looking for a tanks that can survive better and do major damage in the caves.

    Ideas?

I think more than the gear, especially for tanks, it really lies on your playing style. If you can rotate buffs well, time your stomps and beckons properly, you should be a better tank and stay alive longer. At least thats how I identify the good tanks from the new ones.

The Rift set is the best tanking set IMO mainly due to the set bonus. If you are going to use Hate I would recommend using the luminous harpoon (for higher damage with a break amor proc), or the limbchopper (for max damage). If I remember correctly, the hate battlesword has an armor reducing proc, and the shadow swords have a bleed proc and chance to stun (weird combo IMO). The Hax has no real proc, but does produce the execute combo when used with Hellscream.

OK then, let me ask which rift set is the best then?

Rift Set I: Overlord's Helmet of the Rift, Power Armor of the Rift, Sunblessed Scmimitar of the Rift, Screaming Skull Shield of the Rift +5% Dodge, +50 Health, +5 H/s, +3 M/s, +5 Damage, +12 Armor

Rift Set II - "Gurgox Rift Champion" Overlord's Helmet of the Rift, Power Armor of the Rift, Gurgox Hammer of the Rift+5 H/s, +5 Damage, +10 Armor

Cyber Rift Set: Cyber Skull of the Rift, Cyber Armor of the Rift, Cyber Sword of the Rift, Cyber Kite Shield of the Rift +3 H/s, +1 Damage, +8 Armor

    Thanks again,
    Steve

Rift Set I is the best for tanking because this Set includes a Shield and has the highest Armor set bonus. Plus the extra 50 Health and 5H/S it helps out a lot. The Rift Set II had the Gurgox Hammer so you lose the Shields armor, therefore not allowing you to be the best tank possible.

To tank, rift set 1 for sure.
Gurg ham is more for fun, to feel like you really kill mobs ;-) but bad mana/health regen, and much less armor. I only use it sometimes to fast kill keeper or gurg.
Forget cyber, if you have the choice.

Rift set one is the overall best for tanking. Rift set two is the best damage option (but I only ever really use it for trying to quick kill the keeper and stuff like that). The Cyber set just has a poor set bonus and poor weapon (the scim isn't fantastic either but the Rift 1 set bonus is huge).
Edit: OMG my post was totally redundant by the time I posted it...

Lol Royce, I was writing a post but it is pretty much exactly what Ona said. Well there seems to be a consensus here!

A proc is special additional effect of an item beyind its normal damage. Spear like weapons for example have a chance to break armor (-15 armor) each strike, and darkblades proc nightmare (-10 armor). There are a number of different procs and I am currently working toward compiling a complete list.

If we're talking tanking I think this is a no brainer... A few items in the Rift Set I bonus stick out: +5% dodge, +50 health, +5 h/s, and +12 armor.
