    Default Premium Gear costs

So I have a couple level 15 characters and I am debating on whether or not to purchase the rest of the game. I just have one major question, does the "premium" gear all cost money, and is that the best gear I can get? or it is possible to get the best gear through drops or just spending in game gold? Because if all it is at level 50 is spending cash for gear I don't want to be a part of it.

Nope, the platinum store gear is NOT the best gear you can get. The best are attainable through lucky drops, or buying them with in-game gold.

I think the plat store gear is just better than some gear (weapons especially) in some LOW levels. (Probably 1-10). Not sure, I just find it easier to keep a few plat store weapons for those levels.

the plat gear lvl 20 armor was a godsend for my lvl 20 warbird chummywarm. The Premium set is not really worth it, but it has a chance to give you some insane armor. The wep usually blows.

They always said the best gear would come from drops and not the plat store. So either they were kidding, or will be adding level 10 pink hats and weapons.

Awesome thank you guys. I was just so worried that in order to compete i would need to spend even more money on the game. If i am trying to make a 126/126 paladin would i need to buy any plat gear would i?

Nope, for dual spec-ing, everything is attainable in-game.

Yeah i may have been mistaken but the reason I posted was because I in that thread they said to equip level 50 premium gear, and no one every mentioned any drop gear, so thats why i was wondering if that was the best gear or not.

it is technically "premium" gear because you have to purchase the campaigns to be able to obtain it. The plat store bought gear pales in comparison to the gear you can get ingame. Only useful at lower levels because farming for gear is hard and time consuming if low level.

Generally when they talk about elite or premium gear, they're talking about dropped gear. If it's plat store gear, they will usually say plat store. Especially if it's high level gear.
