Mythic is still best
No, not in terms of health and armor but overall its still the best without any doubt.
Hey welcome to the forums. Yes you want the upgraded mythics for Mage, you can't get a better set and it's cheap.
Upgraded Mythics are the best set for any class over all IMO.
If you have issues with survivability in PVE then the Ancient Druid gear can help. The dmg loss is substancial so runs are slower but you will die less. For PVP, stay with mythics as the health/armor boost is not worth the dmg loss.
