    Default Remake Paracelsus Glow Effect.

The new paracelsus gems are awesome and when i heared they were going to add a particle effect i was excited.
    Excited till i saw it.

The problems i am having with the pulsing glowing effect underneath my feat are simple.

#1 Its too bright. At the end of the event nearly every main account will have a paracelsus gem and when we all stand in towns the visual effect would be a mass of light that punches your eyes.
#2. All that light covers the toon and you cant admire your vanities nor others...it even hurts straining to see the particulars of your vanity through that intense light.
#3. The glowing effect looks raw, basic dumped there for the sake of speed to me.

    REQUEST
I would like to see a more compact and refined glowing effect not just dropped under the toon to shine..it hurt eyes after a while like the ice vest and with everyone carrying one its a major turn off.

If we consider runic glows like the pavise, arcane ring, arc maul(proc), arcane staff those have higher quality with a better visual impact.

Please lower the intensity of the glow or change it to a runic glow.

No way! I ran the event just because I fell in love with the glow! Unlike end gamers, twinks have very little items that are as pretty as this "gem." There would be an ethyl proc protest backed by Kershal staff procs!

This is what I imagine something with the word "soul." Mystical energy rather than a flashing hexagon.

Maybe it could follow the character around too?

    Second Idea: http://www.spacetimestudios.com/show...ulstone-effect

Replace the ground effect with a blueish white firebug effect.

The glow is so intense it covers even the arcane ring and every other runic you already had. Thats why i thought it should be a perfectly scaled runic too, maybe yellow or intense blue a sort of colored line that can fit into the arcane ring n staff combo not just a intense orange light that covers everything underneath.

    imo

It's only a matter of time before players start using them with ethyl to have a rave in town.

    #Psychedelic.

Raise his hands who wants the lights to be dimmer or just a runic(damn arcane ring runic is so perfect; inner ring n outter ring of precise perfection and then this gem just covers it all up meh.)

I kinda want some spikes to pop up from the ground than the current version . It's hard to be distinguished with arcane ring.

Flashing lights are dangerous, especially to those prone to seizures. Let's keep it toned down, please. It makes every other important detail difficult to see.

Heck, I cannot even tell which team I am on in PvP.

I suffer from migraine headaches a lot, and visuals like this can be a very strong trigger. I'd hate to have to not play because I got sick every time I did. Just standing at the consignment shop has set one off already.

Please also remove the spinning / whirling thing it does. Someone else mentioned it causes some motion sickness, which is already a problem for many when playing on a smallish screen.

I've been diagnosed to be prone to those kinds of flashing lights. Please change it, I don't want to not be able to use the Paracelsus Stone because I am going to have seizures.

It's true the current Paracelsus Soul Gem particle effect is absurdly bright.

So why not tone it down to something that would not be such an eye sore.

I suggest something similar to the Forerunner's particle effects.

For example, recolored (red/orange) particle effect of the Forerunner's chest piece would be a perfect replacement.

Forerunner's effects would actually fit the Paracelsus SOUL Gem's theme better than those rotating octagons.

Besides flickering light, there are also specific spatial-contrast patterns which can be seizure-provoking. In general, high contrast light and dark bars are provocative (if there are between one and four black and white bars in each degree of the person's vision). The light-dark contrast is critical to abnormal brain response; red-green bars, stripes or patterns are non-provocative. Bars or gratings that oscillate (white to black and vice versa) are more provocative than static patterns, especially if the patterns oscillate in the "dangerous" frequency of 15 - 20 Hz.

"Dartboard", sectored or "whirling wheel" type patterns maximally stimulate the visual cortex and are therefore more provocative, especially when they cover a large proportion of the picture area.
When you put multiple characters wearing this effect in one zone, like any town, this is a problem.
