Nah thats what they did I know Its really stupid you shud just pay once
My presumption is that crafting should be able to be done via recipe/item drops (eventually, at least). Store purchases should probably only wind up being used if you really need a single component and don;t want to go through the hassle fo farming it.
Of course, with everything being new and the "gotta have it right now!" mentality in overdrive, we really don't have an idea yet how long farming for stuff will take or even how valuable it will all be.
As for me, I don't plan on spending any platinum for crafting. If I can't get it "in game", I don't want it. I'll save my plat for unlocking game features rather than buying loot (including crafting loot).
Do daily quests for crafting items instead of buying with plat, but the recipes you have to buy with plat... ONCE.

Why pay 10-30 plat for the same thing everytime? That's like a glitch of buying Balefort Sewers three times.
Because crafting is the new 'buy gold from plat store'.
