Ohhhh...the locked items change frequently, I remember this type of sword from 16/21 cap. That's probably why the price is so high.

Dark watch sword was from season 2 (level 21 cap). It's not lootable anymore

Yeah, in season 2 they were junk. They were just as common as the current locked crate legendary items. Nobody thought to get lower level versions since PvP had not even been added to the game yet at that point. So most players opening locked crates were doing it at end game (level 21 at that time) hoping to loot an item they could use. This was before there was any mythic or arcane items, so only legendary items came in locked crates. Eventually because they became so common, locked crate prices dropping down to under 500 gold. They didn't go up again until Hammerjaw egg was released and that was right before season 3 began.

But all while that was happening, I guess the lower level versions (under level 10) were stayed pretty rare. Also, many players who played back then no longer play, and these are probably sitting in inventories of many idle players.

And not to mention that they look awesome with the lightening! 100% crit proc is pretty awesome along with the faster dps. However, I make do with a Dev maul which at the time was thought to be junky too. Now it's just as sweet!

Still have a lv6,lv10 and lv21 Darkwatch but not sure how rare they are now days.
