Because warriors/rogues/mages all have attacks that trigger stun immunity, meaning after you stun an opponent they have 7 seconds stun immunity, as a mage you use full charged fire ball all the time which is a good example for stun immunity trigger, making singes stun useless
Sam however has panic, not stun, thats what makes his AA so useful.
Stats using singe look alot nicer thats true but when you talk about pvp its not just about the stats, sam gives you panic/heals your hp/gives you crit/causes poison dmg to opponents, thus is the better pvp pet for mage.
