Near to Quitting

I have had an account with spacetime for nearly 2 years. Played for a few months..saved up about 75 locked..bought the platinum..opened and voila..nothing!! Leave game for oh nearly a year..come back and once again have opened nearly 75 more locked half of which were opened on the 2x weekend that ends today and you can guess the results...NOTHING!! Spacetime im tired of grinding your game and spending money when i cant get even a mythic or arcane...you oughta quit treating ppl like this! Im not rich ingame and dont really wanna be but would like a reason to stay and play. I have a few friends there that keep me playing but get your crap together and treat the ppl who support you a lil better!

So yeah many of you will read this and say oh quit griping..but im sure you have felt this way at some point..all the way up to when u finally got your mythic or arcane so dont be a hypocrite!!

You don't seem to understand that Arcanes cost up to 20m for a reason, because they're rare. Not because some guy decides to open a mere 75 locks, that would make them cheaper, a LOT cheaper...

So, you've played for a few months over two years, opened 150 locked crates, and you're wondering why you aren't decked out in all the top gear?

You do realize that people have opened thousands of crates and received very little in return? I, myself, have opened hundreds and hundreds of crates and never once received a single arcane item. It's gambling.....and when you gamble, the house ALWAYS wins.

If you would have sold all 150 locked crates that you opened (@10k each), you would have 1.5m and 2,250 plat right now. 1.5m is nearly enough for a mythic helm and armor. 2.2k plat is enough for 64 hours of Combo Elixirs. In that time, if you would have farmed aggressively, you probably would have made tens of millions off of the loot.

If you are raging over the <1% drop rate of mythics and the <0.5% drop rate of arcane items, I doubt you would receive much support here.

Ok..every time i turn around I'm meeting the luckiest people in the game? No less than 5 people have told me that they opened an amount of crates equalling less than the amount i have opened and magically got a mythic or arcane. I understand the numbers and youre prolly right about it..no i dont expect to be decked out with all the top gear or best pets..what im sayin is give a guy a lil friggin hope in actually finding something decent for himself. Guess my conundrum is bein around those who have gotten something..

Yes i have sold many locked too..did about 500k in a few days guess i should just be happy with that no?

I hate the locks also but, I know that it's a gamble. And it does seems like that everyone you run into seems to be a maxed a out player and the players have been where you are at one point or another. There's going to be hypocrites and you can't change it cause they've spent the money and got the item. It's human nature man. Just sell the locks, farm, save, eventually you'll get whatever your trying to get. It's tedious but not impossible

500k in a few days is a very solid rate of income! Even if you can only sustain 200k a week, in a few months you WILL be able to buy some of the best gear in game.

Personally, given my experience, it is easier to farm and make money to buy, than it is to play the roulette odds on locked crates. Sure, some people do get lucky, in fact, many do. But at least farming is reliable and can be counted on.

If you are a savvy player, farm and merch. These two in combination is what gets many, many players into that top tier.

Frankly, it is better to be someone that earned it, than someone who got lucky. At least for me, it is more satisfying to earn it. I have run with countless "top geared" players that I think would be better off farming Jarl and KM3, because they simply are incapable of running elites. Earn it, and you will be one of those players that I say, "Damn, he's really good! Especially for an undergeared player!"

I have thrown more than one mythic set at players of this caliber...

Arcane Legends is not just about lockeds, so if you are leaving because you lost you plats, think about that it was your decision to open them

I wouldn't call it entitlement Serancha. It's the player wants to get something good in return which is totally understandable. A person spends real money and gets nothing in return us quite infuriating let's be honest. You must be one of those who have looted something rare lol. (No offense and not trying to pick at you)

I have to disagree about this being an entitlement generation issue. I think people want some kind of return on their money spent. If you spend 90 bucks on a game you should get something even if its not what you wanted. This game is dying for a reason.

Let people get items and keep updating your game with new items to keep things moving. Ridiculous drop rates and people using 31/36 gear when the level cap is 41 is a weak system. There are ways for them to make money without straight robbing people.

There are plenty of things you can buy with plat, but some players choose to gamble. That is their decision. There is a reason why arcane items cost millions of gold. Take a loot at the plat to gold exchange rate and then figure out how much plat it would take to be able to buy an arcane item. Well that is probably how many crates worth of plat it would take to open to get one. That is the economics of the game. If the items were more common, then the price would be lower.

Gambling is gambling, whether it is in a game, on the lottery or in a Casino. To expect a return while gambling is silly.
