Is the Reserved Name System Breaking?

Hello,

Is the reserved name system breaking? I was testing with friends and somehow, my friend was able to take my name Apollo despite it being a reserved name.


To clarify, name reservations were a service STG offered to allow you to have a permanent hold over your name from previous MMOs from them. This feature would apply even if your character was not yet created. It was also a service STG charged platinum on and only worked on existing names that one already owned in said previous MMO (PL, SL, DL).


However, after recent threads, I was curious and wanted to test. In the first three tests, I was able to delete my character, the character did not exist and nobody could create the character name (apollo) except me.

However, in the fourth test, this failed and somehow the reserve was removed. My friend was able to take the name Apollo despite the name reservation system in place which STG has sold to customers.

I've paid a considerable amount of platinum reserving my names in all the games. If we are counting, it would be roughly 300 platinum. I know others have paid quite a bit of platinum to ensure that nobody besides themselves could take the names that they already owned.

What's going on?! There are many other previously platinum reserved names that are also showing up now

The weird part is the tests were done in a short time frame so I'm wondering...is there a way to override the reserved name system? Some of my names are not available like: Bodyguardz, Vitty, etc.

Apollo, Vvitty do not have reserves anymore. Scared to test other names.

No. You misunderstood. Arp and Seo did not know what the reserve name system was or how it functions. It was a feature purchaseable by platinum and allowed one to reserve names for future games, like AL. It also ensured that if you deleted your character, you would always be able to retrieve the name associated with the character.

I changed Cancer to Lahabrea little more than a month ago but I haven't used Keen in 6+ months. Another thing is I have swapped Keen and Cancer's name before and keen sat for 3 months not created at all and was able to change them back.

Have you tried this on any other STG game Zeus?

Yes, but you have to have the name donut to reserve it.

Well I sent STG a support ticket a few days ago on the issue and hope they get back to me soon.

Parth, do you play Battle Command? The other day I came across another player named "Zeus". I didn't think much of it at the time, but if you reserved these names for all STS games, then I can tell you for sure it is taken in Battle Command (unless that was you).

In battle games, anybody can have any names. When it first came out i had the name God lol, then i saw someone else with it.
