Problem targeting Totems

Every time I do Goblin King when I try to switch to the totem to kill it I have a horrible time trying to target it. I can long press the totem and even just spam press it and by the time I am finally able to target it it's almost dead or dead already. Anyone else having this problem? If you have in the past and found a trick to work around it please share.

I don't know what device you're using but on my Samsung phone I get best results tapping the base of the totem (not really sure it's the base or above it that I'm tapping).

I use the HTC Incredible. haven't tried the base. I have tried the mid part of the totem and the health bar, I'll try the base next time thanks.

no problem on ipod touch
then again, i started as a strictly tap to move player on bear, so i'm pretty used to targeting single enemies manually.
