Email Alerts for Messages / PMs / Thread replies

I think it would be extremely useful if we can receive email from private messages, if someone replies a thread we started, etc… like some sort of settings we can set for them.

Any push notifications create lag and/or higher ping, because somewhere in the background a message is hitting a server or being sent to an inbox and that extra server connection would (probably) use a lot of bandwith and induce more lag.

I know on other games I play, when I get a private email or in-game push notification, that there is noticeable momentary lag.
