Do damage upgrades work?

Hey I'm a Warrior, I want to know of the 10% dmg om SS or 15% dmg on axe throw work. When I use the point to upgrade it I don't see an increase on the skill dmg info, can anyone conform that these dmg upgrades work? Thanks

Go test to see how much dmg it does 10 times without the upgrade and find the average. Then do the same without the upgrade
