Funny that the thread is "of all time" and there is not one player listed here from the early seasons (except one or two who still play) when pvp was not ruled by Arcanes, but strategy, builds and skill. But then what makes someone "best" is, in my opinion, much to do with sportsmanship, perserverence, fairness and the desire to learn and improve. Expo and Vyr are prime examples of players who made pvp great in their time, among others too numerous to list.

Unfortunately those qualities are rarely seen now that being good in pvp is mostly about who is at the top of the wealth gap, and who has the least scruples about killing someone who is unprepared just to add to the notches on their bedpost, as it were. But then I guess that's what PvP has become, which is why a lot of the old pvp generation left.

I think just randomly saying "best of all time" leaves it way too open. It could easily mean those who are best at kill farming, dummy farming, spawning, ganging and other unsavory practices. It is all in perception.

I totally agree with Serancha these days pvp is only ruled by arcanes people who show their egos who have no respect for other's no more, PvP was good in the first few seasons when you could make a tactical build where you needed skills instead of OP arcane pets and gears the days that PvP was fun to do.


Back to the topic of this thread as before I still do not know why people make such kind of threads on the forum (I'm also not active on the forums anyway) because it still comes back to the most popular names in the game. I've played with players few people know off who are the best in my eyes because I learned from them to do PvP, timed records ect on the other hand my idol rogue is still ExportedJunk i always wanted to become as good like he was for me he was a big example of a rogue player it pushed me to limits i didn't know off.

Gear has nothing to do be being the best. Neither do dummy flags and kill farming. You know when you play someone that can play. A 50M gold ring is not enough to make you a good pvper. If you play enough, the difference is clear. If the difference isn't clear, you probably need to play more. There are many fail 60M gear players. The converse is also true.
