Yes indeed it is very misleading, but honestly what do you expect Hali? If you go into the inventory of the vendor and check out the actual gear recipes you will see that the stats these show are not the actual stats of the imbued gear. I have tried to craft imbued out of lvl 40 gear. It does not work. There threads about this in the bugs and technical issues forum section as well.
