Breaking News

An Arlorian adventurer who wishes to remain anonymous came to us earlier this morning revealing a strange artifact found just outside of Traveler's Outpost but a few days ago. A tattered piece of parchment, damp and smeared with soil.

On it, a tiny calligraphic scrawl that seems to read:

Inventor’s Log: Day 47

I tell ya. Something is amiss around the mines these days. We’ve been hearing rumblings on the above-ground. I don’t know for sure; it could just be particularly bad weather, but I’ve got this sick feeling in my stomach I just can’t shake.

Now, I’m not one to read into the that “gut feeling” rubble, but I’ve got critical work to do on this new gem-enhanced force-field around the Cryostar. I really can’t waste any more time being distracted by wandering worries and assumptions, as the mining busy season approaches. All those mine carts flying about…wouldn’t want something bad to happen and I should focus.

Today marked test one of the new force field. I completed the gem-circuit and tried to flip it on, but the gems just won’t fire to life. I can only guess that those blasted Turen brothers have been tinkering with my things again. Back to the drawing board, I guess.

At the bottom, a fading watermark, which we can only assume is a portrait of the author.

The portrait seems to depict a gnome, but we are waiting on our sources to confirm. Gnomes, of course, have not been seen in Arlor in aeons. We are conducting further research and will keep you updated as we learn more.
