Back in the day...

Back in the day when the game was more balanced than it is now, where there were no mythic or arcane weapons, armor, or jewelry. Where everything seemed new and you had trouble killing the final boss in Brackenridge. Where everything was a mystery and you wanted to make friends and chatting with other people, regardless of poor or rich was the best thing ever. Where legendary items were the coolest things ever.

Yes, I'm talking about my nooby days when I first began playing AL. Those days were the greatest days of my MMO life. I was excited to log in every day and every time I levelled up I would get even more excited. Back when the cap was 26 and finding a lvl 26 player felt like being in the presence of a powerful god.

But as the song "Don't You Worry Child" by Swedish House Mafia says, 'Those days are gone, now the memory's on the wall'.

I miss those days so much. I was so happy with playing my first real MMO. If I could go back and relive it again, I would. Of course I can start over with a new account, but that wouldn't be the same.

I just figured I'd share my nostalgia with you all.

I felt the same haha. I was excited to get a cinder but I was hoping its AA would be a fiery explosion, but I was disappointed it wasn't lol. Then blight was my favorite

What I miss when I playing AL is when elite run its all about fun,chat and lookin for new friends,without bothering about time and gears. Now I missing all that thing,and its getting worst when I realized many of old best friends decided to quit. There are some new good friends but things never be the same anymore without them. Miss u guys and ladies

Imo, pvp killed the original AL. Every complaint, every item, every pet, centers around if it's good for pvp. Not to mention all the hate you get for what guild your in, or who you killed.

i loved being a underleveled noob Who tried to pvp Lvl 35 without any good gear ^^
The thing i loved the MOST was to get new armors, having to think if it was worth to sacrifice 6 dmg for 100 health, actually thinking of what gear to use.
Now its just mythics/imbued and thats it...

Yeh first time i played this, not caring abt money, makin friends, dont care abt stats, only care abt looks, the game was very relaxed. The more u understand abt this game the more boring it becomes

A rich friend of mine gifted me ribbit once.
He was saying first two persons to come in Gh gets ribbit/ethyl. I made it and I was asked ribbit or ethyl. I choosed ribbit.
I was so happy.
I don't get that much happiness even having gyrms or other pets which cost 100 times more than ribbit.

More back in time, I once saved saved and bought blight. I was proudly having it in towns. The green dragon!! It felt so powerful.

I once bought some level 26 ish mighty Juggernaut for 50k and some sealord helm for 60-70k.
It used to be hell lot of gold to me that time.
Then to use it, leveling up crazily to level 26. The game was really fun!!

There werent many scammers around, and literally lockeds were 40-50k haha xD

And umm..glacian was 14m? Rofl

I used to sell 100 locks by farming crazily, and whenever it was payment trades, the buyer paid the whole thing, and i always used the "give" function and spam...like literally haha

Yeah I wonder if the pvp players will goto the moba and shut it down here, and AL will focus just on pve again that is a really good point. I mean, they have never made any other strides to fix or give pvp new maps so maybe that's the direction they are heading.
