    Default I'm near the end

I love this game and I love this community but, I'm starting to reach a conclusion here. I've worked my butt off to no end to see no progression. I mean everything that I've got I've EARNED just as many of you all have. I'm not a lock popper The RNG is ridiculous. People run the arena 10-20 times and loot fossil or recipe. I finally understand why one of the best players ever to play the game Kali retired. It's entirely to much of a hassle to work hard and not see any profitable return is absolutely mind blowing. I don't want to be rich. I just want to be able to enjoy and see the fruits of my labor through hard work pay off and in this particular game it's virtually impossible. I know it's a game I get it. And it's going to be some of you that's going to say things like "quit crying" or "your only saying this because you didn't loot what your looking for", STS is a business and I get that. Your entitled to your opinion it's cool. I'm just at a cross road. I want to play but, continuing to play furthers subject me to the random madness that this game has become. And frankly I'm really fed up with this. There needs to be something done to the loot system period.

i think many ppl feel this way, my friend sold everything today and is not going to log on again maybe for expansion to see if its changed. she spent all her gold on arena and got no recipe or fossil even during event, never got arcane or even mythic from locked. she buys plat but she wont again i dont think.

sorry to hear you're feeling frustrated and hopefully sts will listen and the expansion will have more fair ways of farming. sure keep some things as rare drops but also have them avail. with tokens/essences/teeth/whatever.

This is exactly what I am talking about. You should never have to sell your items to farm an area to come up with nothing and finally quiting. I can't express this enough. I love this game I do but I can't continue to deal with the loot system.

Kali did not quit because he got broke. In fact, his property was couple of millions worth. Players like him are mad at the game system, where hard work is not rewarded. The only thing you need is to make a lucky toon and do 10 runs and hit the jackpot.

The only exception is tombs, where one can at least be sure that after some 60 runs he would have about 600k income (not profit). Pity that we can't have like 1000 arena frags = fossil.

    Hey boss
I'm not stating that Kali is broke. I should have made it a bit more clear. I apologize I was try to state that he quit because of the lack of being awarded for hardwork and I totally understand how he feels. Sorry if anyone misunderstood what I was saying

I'm on the same page here with this luck system! I did around 500 runs this week for double odds, I looted a recipe on run 465-ish, I did not a fossil, and yet most people I see looting fossils ran less than 200 runs to loot their fossil(s)! How does thisnm encourage me and the others running endlessly to run more if people who have done a fraction of what we've done get rewarded abundantly?!
    ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Good thing I didn't loot one in the ten or so runs we did together, eh? That would've absolutely made you enrage, considering those were my first and only ten this event xD

The RNG system does suck man!!
It makes me feel like Iam in vegas playing blackjack.
Watching others scoring and me just getting 2 epic items everytimes which fill up my inventory slots.
Everyday iam reaching 500/500 inventory slot looting craps from arena and liquidating them. Only some reinforced fire/glacial gems in every 10-15th planar chests.
    Recipe is a fairytale.

Agree 100%. RNG does suck my time and money without any visible profit. I'm also ready to quit.

    327 runs now
    My luck stands as :-
    Challenger - 0
    Recipe- nope
    Fossil- zilch
Ask my guildies, how much i whine about it and you shall know my stand on this topic ( +10 fossil loots and +20-25 recipe loots in your guild can do that to you )

They absolutely need to put some of the best items in the game that have nothing to do with luck. The people who work the hardest and spend the most time in the game deserve to have something to show for it. It's not fair and I don't understand how this happens but it simply does. The people who don't run as much end up having good luck. I know one guy who has a Nekro and three freaking fossils.... And yeah he ain't running his heart out. Is that fair for one person to loot four fossils and then Visit zero despite grinding for 4-6 hours every night? It's not. It's frustrating and they truly need to fix this in the game.

I understand what you mean, mate. This is why I have decided to take a break from this game. I'll probably run the upcoming event until plat tier (depending on rewards) and then get some well-deserved rest. Too tired of grinding with nothing to show for it.

Hard working farmers are those who keep this game alive. Coz of the ineffective loot system only a handful of many hundred of players in my friend list are online. Architect weapons and gears were much worth earlier season, now the problem is bigger and even rare loot from the hardest maps are worth less, like magma n planar weapons. Imbued items are worth but not really worth farming, coz need much time to farm, ankh and pot. Beside its a laborious drop, does not drop directly and u need many chests first. And beside still less ppl and only rich ppl own imbued sets at the end of a very long season. So theoretically it's farmable (many discussions about farmable loot in forum) but practically the reality looks different. A "work hard and get your reward system" would make more sense, as some forum members already suggested (not for all items). What was wrong with the lootsystem for imbued items: not only luck was needed also hard work, money for pot ankh and good gears to farm planar tombs without getting frustrated. At the end of the season to less ppl own an imbued set, that shows something gone wrong.

The only thing that still keeps me running despite no fossil and recipe drop for me (some of my guildies looted them, one of them on his very first arena run), is, as sappy as this sounds, if I give up how the hell am I going to tell my knights not to. But damn this event is a massive hemorrhage with nothing to show for it all.

Agreed..! The luck system is required. No doubt about that. That's what will make the game interesting. But it should be there in the presence of rewards for hard work and seeing that everyone is having almost an equal chance at getting lucky. Currently someone loots arcane at 20 chests others non at 500+. Where is the fairness in that?
Plus elites were created for rewarding the hard workers who kept the game alive the most. If they don't see themselves being rewarded for the hours they put in it discourages them. No wonder elites are dying.
Sts is trying the bridge the gap between the rich and poor and the super-lucky and the unlucky. But it needs more re-structuring. Just waiting for expansion to see if there is any more changes in the system on those aspects.

My bank is worth approx 1m what I worked for about 7 months now. I started off from zero and the most valuable item Ive looted is flap jack egg (around 10k maybe?) and I repeat once again: Ive worked 7 months to have 1m worth of items. And NO I have NOT bought any platinum for IRL money. Is that good or not?

It's ok buddy, by no means I intended to sound rude.

I just want to stress that no matter what ingame property one may have, if the fun disappears, so disappears the player. It turns out that the game is a pure casino. If a pvper wants gear, all he has to do is to pop crates.

So far, farmers were needed for recipes and imbued. All other mythic and arcane stuff can be obtained by gambling.

Well the event is over and I'm nearly broke from this. I didn't loot a recipe or fossil for that matter. After selling items just to be able to partake in the event only to come up empty handed is simply mind blowing. Now the goblin event is next..... After this fiasco how am I supposed to be motivated to partake in this event?

Guys, every MMO works off the luck system. I'm probably the least lucky person in the entire game as I've played more hours over the years than 99% of you all and never looted an arcane item, and never looted a mythic item worth more than 1m. But I'm going to say that the luck system is necessary.

The only way the luck system could be done away with is if the best items were made so hard to get that you literally needed to play 10 hours a day for a year to get them. Otherwise the result would be that everyone would have all the best items, and then there would be no point to even having items. And if they made it that way, the same people would be complaining that they have lives and cannot possibly play 10 hours a day for a year.

Arcane and mythic items are supposed to be rare. Rare means that only a very small percentage of the player base has them. So whatever method they have for awarding these items, they have to keep it so that only a small percentage of the player base has them. If it takes 50 hours of playing to obtain an arcane ring, I can assure you that everyone who wants one will have one after a month or two. So that is not hard enough.

The only alternative is to award good items based on tokens kind of like how the Planar Tombs works. Each time you finish run, you get 1-2 tokens. If there were something as good as an Arcane Ring to be awarded on this type of system, it would have to be a few thousand tokens for it to make sense. Otherwise it would be too easy and everyone would have one.
