But, unlike pet APs, the Leaderboard APs are available always for everyone to try and obtain, with LB pets like SNS (which according to STS is never coming back and Nightshade which was unobtainable for a year) only people that are here for that specific event will be able to get on the LB...

If there were enough APs, this would not be an issue. There should be so many APs that nobody could possibly do them all. So if you can't do one, you can work on another. For example, there is a player who has more than 5m PvE kills. I think that should be an achievement too, as should 500k and 1m. There is a player with 100k PvP Kills -- this too should give APs, as should 50k. Why does it stop at 100k PvE Kills and 10k PvP Kills?

The end result is that the "Top Player" leaderboard is almost an exact replica of the PvE Kills leaderboard. Shouldn't they be different?


I brought this issue up last year with Sam Hayne/Alex, and he acknowledged my point but said he disagreed and wanted to make it so that everyone could obtain all the APs (he had no comment for the flags APs which I mentioned as being extremely difficult). While I love the job that he did with the game, now that he is gone I was kind of hoping to reintroduce this idea again and maybe it would gain some traction now that there is a different lead producer for the game. I think this is something that would make the game more interesting and would give players more goals to work towards.

I find it absolutely boring that the only APs available for me to work towards are flagging. I'd love if there were many others still out there for me to work towards, and I'm sure there are many other players in the same situation.

I played Tera on pc for a while... one aspect I did like about that game was the absolutely mind boggling list of APs... like it was so long that there was no way you could possibly achieve them all, you had to pick and choose.

Long tedious ones, shorter ones, some were serious and skill based like the elite/arena AP we have now and quite a few of them were more "hidden" and just totally random/humourous. Some just give titles or bonus pets/vanities. Like an AL equivalent would be:

Disco Ball - Grants title "Disco is Life" + Afro Vanity Helm
(No full description in the AP list it just says "Take a special pet on a tour of Arlor"... but what happens is that if you use ethyls AA in every town, you get notified that you have earned this title).

^It's not really an achievement I know, but having a ton of those in the game just gives players something to do when there's nothing to do. Tera is a pc game so different scale- stuff like this only works there because its just a tiny drop in a huge ocean and I am in no way suggesting that a hidden disco AP should be added to AL... or am I...
