what was the best AL season ü ever played

Reminiscent threads like this make me wonder what the new players reading about the good old days think about the state of the game they just start playing, the pve farming side of things, the pvp front. I wonder if any of them will say one day: "I started playing just before the Ren'gol expansion and it was the best season ever, because __________."

For me: S2/S3

Elite was fun and I joined Chivalrous Union during that time. Good memories there.

Definitely S1/S2. Everything was just a lot simpler than it is now. I loved when pets weren't allowed in PvP. :3

They weren't allowed but there was a bug that allowed pets to remain in pvp when you joined a pvp lobby through friends list.

From my pvp perspective,
Any season pre-paras was when pvp was most fun!!

L26 (Kraken expansion) was my favorite. Elites were stupid hard back then (anyone remember elite Skull Cove back in the day?), so a good day of farming could make you hundreds of thousands (which at the time was A LOT). Arcane Hooks were incredibly rare (I only knew a few people with them) and Mythic helmets were equally as uncommon in PvP. I remember PvPing with Shipmaster, Bloodhammer and Sealord gear and being competitive, since most people had essentially the same sets so we were all on more or less equal footing.



My second favorite was L21. This was before the primary/secondary stats, so pets like Wrathjaw and Meepmoop were actually not that bad. I can't remember if this was the time when pets were not allowed, but some people found a cheat to get pets in and on the occasion that you did see someone with a pet, fairplay was so important, that player would get ganged to death and their own teammates did nothing to stop it until the pet was dismissed. The elite fanclub was a very small, very tight knit group and we used to share strategies all the time.

Lvl 31 (lost the season count) was the best season for me. PvP at that time was just wonderful. Although the guild wars sometimes made things a bit too tough, those were the times where skills actually made a difference in PvP. Skill could beat gear any day. Being less geared did not make you feel less wanted when people were needed for clash. A low hp warrior could tank, a low damage dealing rogue could kill and a low damage and health (lol) mage could stun and curse enough to turn the tides of the games. Those were the times when people bragged after killing their enemies in a fair n square fight unlike today, when fully gemmed rich people kill low geared noobs like me and talk about skill. The most a pet could do was stun, not take in friggin 3 full combos and stun at the same time (nekro). Shields were only a mages thing. Crits were on a level where they actually made you feel nice when you critted. Now, i crit, oh thats nothing new. I really hope some how StS make some changes. It is a lovely game but people are leaving. Both twinks and endgames. The only thing keeping them from leaving are the friends. Not the game. STS please think about it. The game has lots of potential. Do something about it

I came when it was nordr at that time playing was so fun and everyone enjoyed it then things changed I have all the past event banners etc. but not the fun i had now only chilling and farming until i get bored then ill move again idk where but I will move or maybe not idk. Still i prefer season 4 or 5 i dont remember with all the new events

I dont knwo what season is this, but I think the best season was in the lvl 31 when 0 para, 0 a lot of class gems, 0 arcane ring, 0 amulet planar pendant, 0 upgrade, 0lag, 0 effects, pet summon fast

Err about the pet summon issue it was removed coz many abused it.

I started at the beginning of the 36 cap and to be honest those days were soooo nice. Lots of gold to be made from farming, locks were 15k all day. The best drops from shuyal were selling for 300-700k, farming nordr for entombed mauls, farming for elite gold chests.

Ahh those days were nice, met a lot of great people then and still talk to many of them. Even met someone very special then. Sadly there's not much for farmers atm but I have a feeling there will be. There was a huge crash in the market in AL and I think it's slowly starting to level back out. Just try to enjoy what we have atm even if that's just your friends!
