I once saw a scammer in town offering to help a new player move stuff from one character to another.

Always use the stash (Darada in Balefort Castle or Amira in Forest Haven) to move items, gold and potions between characters. Don't let a random stranger do it for you.

Someone may also offer u to trade accounts, they may also say tht they have x amount of plat on it, but they will just take your account
If someone offers u to craft items at fang for free it's definitely a scam

And u should also remember that most scammers use their low lvl alts in in little guilds, they may say that they will craft u items in fang cuz they have a lot of plat and they r ending, playing this game. Even if they had a lot of plat, why wouldn't they lvl their toon?
They r scammers, don't trust them, don't give them anything and most importantly, dont give them your account!

Here's how I got scammed. Someone offered me a promo code for 5000 gold. He said thathe knew the code and wanted to sell it to me. We agreed on 1.5 K and I figured I was getting a good deal. The promo code was this, "/p add (player name) Gold+5000". I didn't want to get scammed so I said that I would confirm the 1.5 K, he would tell me, then he would confirm, then all would be well. Well guess what? The promo code DIDN'T work. I was enraged, and shouted a couple times saying he was a cheater WITH the name included. I never knew you could report him for this, and now I know. He disappeared after that. How convenient. Along the way, he kept trying to make it seem like it was an actual promo code by saying please don't go and it took me a long time to find it. If anyone catches this player doing it, report this player IMMEDIATELY. the smart thing about this scam is that you don't know if the code works or not and the scammer will obviously demand a large deposit.

Here are some more: the scammer puts up a junk item in CS for a very overpriced amount of gold. Then he sweatches characters and asks a random person if he can help him with buying items from CS. The scammer tells him to buy his item.

2nd one: the scammer is asking around: buying itemX for 300k (way overpeiced), then he switches to another character and is saying selling itemX for 200k (overpriced). So a person who has seen both character thinks that he could make 100k really quick by buying itemX and then selling it. But when he buys it, the scammer dissapears.

LOL. Lending someone you don't know your items when u can use a safe stash system (Darada)?? Idk if it is well known already I've never heard of it in forums and im too lazy to search all pages of this thread...

So maybe if there's someone like that again we could give him alot of our junk items...hahaha

Are people seriously this silly to fall for these tricks.
The rules to not being scammed are the same as in life:
- if an offer seems too good to be true, it is!
- if you feel pressured or bullied, walk away or report that person.
- never give anything to a stranger who asks, instead choose someone to give a random surprise to someone of your choosing (for those who like to give - as I do. I give away most of my good equipment and sell the rest in the castle)
- always assume someone you don't know will try to scam you, so stay alert to strangers, that way you can never get tricked.
- I like too power level lower level players by choice, not when asked to. I do this for free because the game is supposed to be fun, and giving is it's own reward.
- anyonne asking for money is very rude. People don't do this in life, and especially shouldn't in the game.
- there are some really nice people playing this game, so ignore the scammers and bullies and have fun with the like minded players.

------------ My scamming experience --------
I had a lower level character friend me, then 3 characters chased me around the game for about half an hour trying to bully me to swap my character for one of theirs.
No matter what I said, they kept harassing me.
I reported all three characters , ditched the lower level character as a friend and logged off the game for 15 minutes.
I haven't heard from them since.
I'm an adult who's seen quite a bit of the world and I was surprised at how the bullying in the game caught me off guard. I understand how younger people might allow the bullying to work.
Quite simply - don't take sh!t from anyone.
