If you buy hooks from ah will it give you the ap? Or any arcane weapon or is it just from opening eggs

Lep gave AP? I thought one had to buy it from the AL Store Tab to receive AP.

I'm pretty sure it has to be an egg. I was using arcane ring on my rogue and didn't the get AP until I opened up maridos. This is probably to avoid people sharing arcane items for the AP and risking getting scammed

Did you loot the shard for the ring? You have to loot a arcane item or open a arcane item to gain the achievement. That's probsbsly why you ddint get with ring but did with Maridos

exactly. you have to either loot an arcane item or hatch an arcane egg for the achievement.

Looting counts as well, when i looted arcane fossil from the arena chest, i got the APs for looting an arcane item

Probably because the AP is bugged for mythic. Buying from auction should not count.

Blimey, my friend. I thought buying was part of trading.

Mythic AP has many ways to get: buying lep from store (plat), looting either in crates or chests, buying mythic item from a vendor in Kelys and Exp. Camp.
Arcane AP, which is way harder to get, has only 2 ways: looting either in crates or chests, and opening an Arcane egg whether it was bought or gifted.

Look mythic and arcanes don't have the same drop from locked, I believe lepre is the only mythic who award the ap when bought from cs, about arcanes I am almost sure you have to loot from chests.

Nope looting mythic from a lock also granted the achivement

When you buy a mythic, for example the lep pendant from the plat store it gives the item to you like how you would receive an item from a chest. Same thing if you buy an egg for platinum from the store, its considered looting by the games standards. Buying any mythic or arcane item, besides eggs, from the auction house or other players will not give the ap. However a mythic or arcane egg will give the ap because the egg is like a chest with a guaranteed arcane or mythic pet "loot".

Buying from Store and not auction house.
Yes buying leprechaun bundle from store gives ap.
Buying from auction doesn't.
Buying mythic egg from vendor with plats gives mythic ap too without opening eggs.
But trading, buying from auction don't give any ap.
If arcane eggs could come from vendor for plats or there was Arcane ring bundle in store maybe it would give arcane ap too like mythics. But there aint any.
Only looting an arcane from chest or opening arcane will give ap.
