Mine was on the Sega Megadrive many years ago - a game called shining in the darkness. I loved it.

Final fantasy 1 nes, but an awsome rpg is earthbound for snes. Very hard to get and a rare gane but its an rpg based in semi modern day usa. Instead of armor and swords u use baseball bats, pans, ball caps and everyday items. Probably my favorite rpg of all time. If u get a chance to play it and u like rpgs you gotta play it.

mine was Super Mario RPG
I think mine were the Might & Magic PC games (starting with like VI).
The Legend of Zelda if that's considered one, if not, Final Fantasy on orig NES
edit: Super Mario was considered an RPG? What about Pitfall on Atari? Whichever one of those count as RPG - that's the first one, apparently not the only one though! :P

I went from Final Fantasy 1 to Chronological Trigger and nothing has lived up to that since then as a pure RPG.
Wow that's taking me way back! I remember zork! /swing sword at orc (you swing sword and miss) lol, classic. What got me really into all this was everquest when if first launched... Lost a lot of sleep..
Anyone else play Tunnels of Doom? That was mine. Only those born in the 70's or earlier would have any idea of what that game is....

I remember my friend telling me about Runescape one day on the bus so after school I went and googled "Roomscape".
Legend of Mir 2 & 3, WoW, EQ2. Didn't sleep much for about 10yrs haha
First RPG
The first RPG I ever played was called Telearena. It was on a local bbs and I played with a smoking Internet speed of 1200 baud haha I would stay up all night playing this game and I'd had no graphics only text so you really had to use your imagination. The way you navigated was by pushing n s e w to go north south east or west. Then you would have to draw maps on paper in case you had to run from an enemy. To attack you pressed a enter. Oh the good ole days. It's amazing how far technology has came. Thank you Spacetimestudios for creating my favorite RPG of all time Pocket Legends
