Certain mobs can't be gathered well, and are best for a kill one, move on, kill next. Now the best would be if I could easily switch builds from dual to two hand because a two hand warrior is good at those as the 'overkill' gives you enough vigor to sonic slash the next mob. The dual is really designed for a bare minimum of 3 mobs (vigor generation from martial -> stomp / vortex).

Aren't your build similar to a 2h build? You take dual wield expert and off hand expert instead of 2h expert. 2h expert increase your weapon speed by 15%. I think the rest of the skills should be similar except maybe you don't have as many points in the guardian tree. Have you tried vortex with 2h and see how much lower the damage is compared to dual wield?

As 2 hand to me is more of a hit and move on, the differences are:
Calm instead of Martial Stance
Ankle Cut over Vortex Blade
Side Step instead of Alerting shout / main hand damage
And of course, the one 2h skill instead of the other two dual skills.

Also, for a guardian warrior, I have an Order Ring of the Guardian, and an Awakening ring. What is another type of ring that gives critical level, hit level, agility, and stamina?

I'm pretty sure you get it from the quest after Tommy. You have to kill Cassandra/Kassandra / some big spider.

Is the berserker ring in the Auction House? and which ring do you get from quest that gives 10 hit and 10 crits?

Yeah I got the full runestone gear for guardian , it was sooooo worth it.

Also for the trinket, does this mean I can't get it back? I only have 1 trinket...

EDIT: Steph, you get the quest AFTER Tommy? I heard that you go to Reeves Manor and there are four people with quests and I get the trinket quest from one of those people. I don't think I ever did the quest with Tommy O.o I gotta check that out

Anyone have any suggestions for mage builds? I am goofing off waiting for SL on iOS with a mage, around lvl 18ish or something. I have mostly frost skills, but I see that the sunfire side seems to whoop more butt from what I can quickly tell (no in depth study yet). Is it like the monk thing, go one until a certain level and then switch to the other?

Just put 1 point in shock wave then rest into frost. You can get perma-frost by 31. Alot of stuff in frost you don't need for leveling though, alot of waste talents in mage trees, but couple nice ones. For example, you don't need water prison as it doesn't work in PvE, hit % has little effect, + to stam gives like 50 hp, you don't need the reflect dmg on stone armor, its not very good. I would just get perma-frost and frost walker then work on fire for fire barrage and flame charge. With shock wave, frost blast, perma, fire barrage, thats the extent of spells you need for leveling.

Oh and carry alot of food and pots... ALOT

Thx for all the mage suggestions from everyone. I may try going sunfire for a little while until about 30-32 and respec to frost when I can get permafrost, but not sure.

I'm used to carrying food and pots as I was full mil monk until 43 or something like that, same issue with mana for mil monks.

The trinket is not from the Tommy quest, it is after the Tommy quest from a different NPC although I don't remember which one. If you have already completed it before (killing the Spider Queen) you are probably out of luck, sorry bud.

Mana is always an issue until you can get those spell cost reduction talents. When I was levelling my mage, I went Permafrost from the beginning. My only regret was that I didn't get Shockwave (Sunfire AoE spell) early. It would have made levelling a lot easier pairing that skill with Frost Blast. As an AoE mage, you have to run around a lot to manage mobs with your AoE (slow em with Frost Blast, kill them with Shockwave).

This is correct. The next trinket you can get in Port Verecy. Where you will fight some ghosts and a quest item will drop, which you will need to "survey" to get the quest. The final trinket is later in Sinskaald Rift.

You will definitely see a difference in terms of damage with a fire mage. Skyfire mage's damage output is definitely significantly higher and it seems the devs are/were trying to build the skyfire mage around increasing crit as quite a few spells improve or help other spells if you land a crit. It's a shame, the devs didn't capitalize on this, perhaps they will in the future. I would imagine that the rune armour is best suited for skyfire mages as most of the armour increases crit.

You can AOE with the skyfire mage, though it isn't quite as pretty - cast the spell that increases your speed and then round up mobs and use a combo of fire barrage and shock wave. This can be done fairly effectively by about level 35. You will almost definitely land a crit each time, which will refresh fire barrage, and if you are lucky, you can keep on using fire barrage. You have to keep moving, whereas with permafrost you can pretty much stand still when the mobs are trapped. By the way, If you go with permafrost it pairs well with ice meteor.

Assassins were a blast with the mana glitch, but now they are downright frustrating and annoying.

I wasn't aware of a glitch to begin with, but then again, I haven't been really playing. I'm more curious about the skill tree and if focusing on all the assassin abilities is a good idea. I know pin feet and a few other archer skills seem needed.

Might be good. I never played the warrior during the glitch so the loss of it does not bother me. What level are you currently? If you are gonna go assassin, unless you want a really tough leveling, I would wait till level 36 (You can buy the first good assassin dagger and you will have the surprise->stab series complete). If you go assassin now, the only archer skill you want is the first poison. The rest is assassin tree.
