level 56 question

to everyone with a level 56 acc. how long did it take you to get from 55 to 56?

Everyone's experience is going to vary. Whether it was through burning gold/plats for XP elixirs or simply grinding it away pot free, you're just going to need a lot of patience. My last character's 50k of XP was done post-GCD/pot free and it took me about 2 weeks.

First and foremost, find yourself a fun group of friends and the time flies by quickly. Second best would be to find a fast group - but after a while you'll notice that without good company it'll just turn into a grind.

I achieved level 55 in about 2 weeks, give or take a couple days. Once I saw the amount of experience needed and no more elixirs for gold (until 1.72) I immediately became discouraged and rarely log on. Even with there being 1.5x elixirs available now, I doubt I could do it.

I gain about 2k experience per week now. Basically by the time I could be in the grasp of reaching 56, another level cap will be out.

The only difference between 55 and 56 is the crown of persistence, a single skill point and 5 attribute points. Not a big deal. All the important equipment drops are for level 55.

Look at it this way, they could have capped the leveling at 55 and all the BS runs you would do anyway for equipment and money would have gotten you no further experience. Now, you can at least get part of the way or even all the way to 56 as you do the same runs you would have done regardless. So enjoy the runs as you go for the drops you want and if you hit 56, consider it a bonus. And if you don't hit it, you will immediately be part of the way to 56 when they do raise the level cap.

What are zenies? Is this some cool thing only young people know about?

Once I got all three characters to 55, I pushed hard with my Mage and XP pots! Made it to 56 in about two weeks. I than played casual for awhile and then made the grind with my bird from about 20k, took about three weeks, no XP pots (made it the night before 1.7.2). My bear is at 25,000 XP and I am NOT grinding to 56 (at least I don't think I will)!
