Need help with Overlord!!!

Okay so this might throw u off. Im a level 43 mage i mainly do damage but i can heal for this. Im looking for GOOD players i need a tank that can withstand his lasers and a bird that can do alot of burst dmg and another mage for extra res and heal and any class for the 5th my IGN- Magicfrost

Overlord is one of the toughest bosses in the game and you're only just able to access AO3 maps (ur actually two lvl's below the recommended)

I'd fully recommend you level up a little first... although apparently fortune favours the brave, don't they say. LOL

Top tip, make the 5th character another high DPS bird... Good Luck

i was soloing overlord for you and got his hp 3 quarters down and then came a bear stomping everywhere
and blowing the barrels when he was nowhere near them.
it takes ages to solo without a bird to break shield.
To survive the blasts lower levels need a tank pot.
i will try again soon ill need more pots lol

tank pots don't help low levels all that much if they don't have high defense gear to begin with

I would recommend waiting until 47, getting a 1 hand weapon/shield loadout, and using the tank elixir.

Figured a fool proof way to solo him as a lv56 mage and thought I'd share.

NEED:

• Tank Elixir
  
• Attack Elixir
• At least 100 health and mana potions (likely won't use this much but best to be safe)
• High armor (I used MM with staff)

If you're helping people, keep them out of the room. They'll just blow up the barrels and make things take longer. I've also noticed I tend to take more damage when someone is in there with me. Maybe its because the AoE of the blast hitting others causes damage as well. It's also a waste of time and mana trying to resurrect people anyway.

Since you can't maneuver him near a barrel like before, and the glitch no longer works, you'll need to find a way to keep him near a barrel while taking minimum damage. I found the corner to his right to be the best place to fight him. He rarely takes more than half my health as this distance with most of the time a single potion is enough to fully heal me.

You also have the benefit of being able to knock him into the barrel while exploding it. Too often have I tried to blow one up when he's next to it and his shield doesn't go down. Over here it goes down every time which means less time waiting for a barrel to respawn.

If you're quick enough, you'll defeat him before the elixirs are up. Otherwise things get a little dangerous as you'll have to pick up spamming potions. I also found alternating heal, drain, and potions helped keep my health maxed most of the time.

A second way:

If there's a bird in the party with decent equipment, have him use a tank elixir and ONLY come into the room to break OL's shield. He should be able to last long enough to do that and get back out of the room. This will actually be quicker than the first way I mentioned.

with a lvl 56 bear solo

you dont need any elixers
but i suppose a damage one would speed it up a bit and tank one would use less hp pots
its up to you if not make sure you have plenty of hp pots

1. run past a barrel making sure your in line with it.
2. wait for the ol to walk near the barrel then bekon and the barrel will blow the shield off.
3. be quick to attack because the shields not down for long.
4. Repeat the above

A good thing about a bear you can move the ol around
this method does take time but he dies eventually
