Plat items to be sold back at 1/4 the cost? or Plat item lottery?

I have this issue, as I'm sure so many of you do... I have purchased about 50+ plat items all of which, just collecting dust. I can't trade or really do anything with them except sell them for 0 gold. If I could I would hand 'em out as gifts to ppl or sell them back to the plat store and recieve 1/4 the plat back (even rounded down would be somethin). My other idea was to have a "donate item" button somewhere which would go into a PL lottery for various players to win. I just hate seeing all those items just sitting there, eating stash storage, I just don't have the heart to just toss them. Anyways I'm curious what you all think?

i agree, its annoying having multiple vanity items even though i can only use one

Well I must admit that I would like to be able to give/sell/trade plat items but at the end of the day STS is in business to make money and plat purchases is how they pay the bills so... no plat should NOT be trade-able or refundable.

I understand the no trade, but a small fraction of a refund, I don't see that being a huge issue. Even if the refund for every item was only 1 plat, that would be at least somethin.

Ya... What would really make me happy is if the plat stuff did not fill up item slots! Mine are getting full!

Your saying pay a transfer fee to make a plat item tradeble? I can see this causing more issues in the future. Think about how many people basically pay someone gold to give em a plat item. If that was the case, then there wouldn't be a point to having plat in the first place. Plat items should have some way to recycle them but not to specific players. I personally would like the 1/3 plat sell price from vendor, this would make my dusty plat items somewhat useful again.

I agree. I try to look for players that are working hard to lvl up and try to give them a piece if gear that may be better than what they have. Or something that's a lvl or 2 above what they are n give them a gift. I hope that it will keep them in the game. Kind of like staying with the game longer so they can use the lvl 19 sword that just dropped in their lap. But that's me. I'm prolly one of the oldest players out there. Age wise not playing time. So I tend to be a bit more charitable towards younger ppl. Either way it's a way to give back to the game.

If you want just put a restriction on giving plat purchased items. Something like "Gift item. Can only be given away or sold for 0.". One give away n it's done. Keeps them from clogging the system and encourages more players to help out newer players. (I don't like using noob since too many people use it as a derogatory word).

My 2 cents from someone who could probably be mom to a lot of the players.
