Skills and Passives

How should I upgrade skills so that I can get good Passives?

Depends on the purpose, is it for PVE? or PVP? Also, depends on what level are you playing. Are you end-gamer? Low-level-twink? Mid-level twink?

as for skills:

5/5 clock

4/5 ice no shatter or whatever the name of the last upgrade is

4/5 shield no knockback

4/5 fireball dont need the increase AoE, the maximum targets affected by FB are 6 and mobs are pretty much bunched up in elites.

gale: i only have the speed upgrade due to being on hybrid build. I would suggest getting the extended stun and armour boost.

lightning: get everything except the stun, don't really need the stun.

This will leave you with enough points to go 5/5 on the passives mesa recommended(which btw is the correct way to go).

YOu forgot the most important skill.... 5/5 HEAL (only do 3/5 heal mana regen, health regen over time, and if you really really need extended range, mostly a pvp skill)

Yes this passive skill get overriden by any pet buff with a 5% dmage or up boost. It will only help when you have a pet that doesnt give a percent type damage boost

Life giver is useless on Elites, just use pots like everybody else. Its diferent if ur a pvper.

hey.. please help now to build a pvp mage end game.. i know some pro mage use shield, curse, fire ball and lightning..
