Chaos jewel damage

Hi
Anyone here knows how the damage of chaos jewel scales the character base-damage?

Say a case,

If some1 uses a fortified chaos which has 1.14 dmg..the base-damage buffed to the character is around +7 dmg...but somehow this buff shows variation even though no additional chaos jewels are added to items..in my case its not always +7 dmg, it could be less or more..and idk why thus need some answers.

1.14dmg x your bonus damage, check it at ur stat page = actual dmg
