I do not think every expansion has new type of crates.
Rengol crates are the core. New type of crates only come in events.
Rengols came with the level 46 expansion they've had locked grand crates of the watch since the beginning because they've never thought of the idea of new crates. It wouldn't make sense for rengols to be dropping the new gears and level 56 items. Grand crates only did that because they were uses for all expansions.

Your point does make sense somewhat. It may end up that rengol crates may be cluttered with too many items.
But then again, I find it difficult to picture how & which maps, the new crates would drop in, esp what would happen to a map like Km3 which has been the new braken now.
The only option I see is new crates on new maps only with a new kinda tombs.

Not even an effort to fix the mess this error has created. One of the last true farms has seen values plummet and thousands of players sitting on piles of locks waiting for crate event holds a grim future for crate value. Releasing so many updates without testing is just boggling my mind. If ppl were digging up plat there'd be a game wide rollback to the last snapshot.

Ren crates drops in most if not all elite maps, km3 just happen to drop them too and in larger amount over time, however there has been ppl complaining that farming are focused on km3 instead of the standard maps, hence sts might listen to these people and change the way ppl farm, well for better or for worst, change is the only constant and one should be flexible and anticipate any change that might occur
Well the locked crates are still around 7k each. Whatever massive amount of crates that were looted doesn't seem be be able to keep up with the demand of the rate at which they're being opened. Next expansion where keys will be available will make them even more in demand. In the meantime, 30 minute luck lix farming km3 is a great way to farm
