Default Does not install from the Android Market Place

    Hello,

    I have a Samsung GT-I5503T with Android OS 2.2.

I have tried installing this application from the Android Market place but it does not work. Once I press install it says your application will be downloaded shortly. I see a download start but after a second or two the download stops and it's as if nothing ever happened.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Kind regards,

    Sen

I'm 90% sure that has the same error.

    Anyway.

    The File/Edit key thing
    Settings
    Applications
    All Applications
    Download Manager
Clear Data and Force Close it

    It'll work after that.

    Hello,

Thanks for your reply, I appreciate your time.

Unfortunately that didn't work. I found the Download Manager 2.2 and cleared the data then force stoped the application. It had 20 KB of data which was cleared. I've tried a few times, re-downloading Pocket Legends and if it did not work following your directions. Each time it clears 8 KB of data but to no avail.

It's like it tries to download it but nothing happens. I can browse the internet and Android market so I have an internet connection. I wonder if there is a log somewhere that tells you what happened when you tried to download an application from the Android Market Place?

I followed a FAQ on this site which mentioned that you unmount the SD card, install the application and then re-mount the SD card at which point you can then choose to move the application to the SD card. Unfortunately that didn't work either so I'm not quite sure where to from here. Any assistance you may provode would be magic.

    Kind regards,

    Sen

Weird... when we have an update I tend to get the same thing you do until I do that with my Download Manager. I'll go get the APK file, let me look for the link. You'll be able to download it from there.

EDIT: Download it here. It might be smart to bookmark it, as whenever they have a client update you'll need to re download(maybe once a month).

The original thread and link were here.

After you've downloaded the file Otu has posted, uninstall PL.
Use a file browser and navigate to /sdcard/ or /mnt/sdcard/Android/data/sts.pl and delete that folder.
After that, you can click on PocketLegends.apk and it will be installed.
