When Will Star Legends Launch? - Currently Working with Apple for App Approval

if im correct and i dont know if i am, but as far as i know apple updates the app store at midnight every day so if u really want to be the first one to have it stay up till midnight every day and check at 12:01 every day.

I sleep at one so i have an advantage of being insomniac (i think)

Apple doesn't make the app go live. They just tell the STS devs it passed. Then the devs set up the new server-side application and move the database. Then they wait until they have a full crew at STS (i.e. after 9 AM Texas time). Then STS decides to go live and throws some switch to make it visible on App Store. Then they announce. Then after a few hours, they take down the old server-side application.

So, don't bother checking at midnight. Check this forum. They always post before release. Sometimes after posting, people still can't see it in European countries for a few hours.

Nope, they never release this late in the day. They try to do it when there are enough devs to respond to the feedback with quick fixes. So, maybe tomorrow.

Why would we rage on STS when it's apples fault for not just saying okay and putting the app up...should be the other way around, it causes us to rage at apple not STS. But I'm losing my mind ever day. gotta wait, while saying to myself it will be okay, it will be okay *_*...ok jk im just bored of PL lol

LOL! I guess you guys just don't have the same optimism as me.

But you've got to know that even if Apple passed it earlier today, the devs still have to set up the server-side application, migrate the beta test database, wipe the kills, make sure everything works, and then wait until everyone is at work the next day before throwing the switch that makes it visible to us in the App Store.

The reason why Sam said it could be several days or several weeks was to play it safe. The real news was simply what is written in the title: "currently working with Apple". Everything else was so we don't get our hopes too high because of Murphy's Law.

no news is good news i always say. Since a dev hasn't posted in a while, i would think that's good. Meaning there wasn't any problems so far. If apple would have rejected it im sure we would know. Keep ur fingers crossed for tomarrow. I got a good feeling...

We'd be totally ecstatic to launch Star Legends today, but it's not approved for the App Store so... Looks like it will be next week at the earliest.

its not apples fault at all. If apple just said ok to SL, they would have to do the same to just about other app. On a thread, somebody noted that there is a waiting list kinda thing. Hey guys, I just want to reiterate what I originally announced. We're sorry that we can't give a specific date, but the approval process is just that, a process. When it's done, we'll roll the bones. We are as excited to launch Star Legends as you are to play it. Thanks for your continued support and patience.

A lot of people have been asking when exactly Star Legends: The Blackstar Chronicles will launch and we want to give you all an update. As you know, we always launch simultaneously to all of our channels (Apple App Store, Android Marketplace, GetJar). We submitted to Apple for approval on July 11th (Link here). Usually, with Pocket Legends, we usually get approval or rejection from Apple in about 1 to 2 weeks. We are working with Apple now with the submission.

All of that means that it could still be several days or next week before everything is approved and Star Legends launches.

We are very excited to get Star Legends into the hands of everyone who wants to play it. We will post here further when more information becomes available. Thanks as always for your support - Spacetime Studios Games' wouldn't be anything without you, our fans!
