    Default Weekly Update | 5/5/16 | 2x coins, Hero Chests, Jewel Chests, Elite Runner Chests ...

    This week brings another round of huge changes to Arlor… no time to dally, here we go!

    Marvelous Vanity Weapon Chests:

    First up are a brand-spanking new round of Vanity Weapons, inspired by some of our favorite heroes.

    Hero Chests are a platinum purchase that will randomly award one tradable vanity weapon. Each weapon matches to a particular class and weapon style:

    - Captain Arlor's Shield: Warrior one-handed style
    - Norse God Hammer: Warrior two-handed style
    - Iron Hand: Mage Staff Style
    - Rod of the Trickster: Mage Gun Style
    - Smash Hands: Rogue Dual Wield style
    - Bow of the Hawk: Rogue Bow style

    These are super-sparkly and look amazing in game. Here's a shot of the hammer:

    2x Glintstone Coins!

    It’s raining money! Double your efforts in Glintstone this week with 2x chance for coin drops.

    Jewel Chests are back!

    Better odds at getting better Jewels: from standard to exquisite (no cracked, damaged, or weak!), plus a chance at brand new recipes that let you skip a tier of jewels when upgrading.

    Elite Runners Chests!

    Our next step in making Elites more rewarding and fun to run is creating a brand new type of loot drop: Elite Runners Chests. These chests will drop in all elite levels. Bronze will drop in lower level elites, Silvers in mid level elites, and Gold Elite Runners Chests will be found in the end game elites.

    You can loot anything from Elixirs and Potions to Respec Scrolls, Ankhs, and Crate Keys.

    Boosted Cryostar Crates!

    We’re adding in level 51 mythic weapons, as well as a recipe for the Cryoworm brooch (a new level 52 Arcane necklace that can be upgraded to level 54). We are also adding back in the Arcane Shard and buffing the elixirs by 5-10%.

    PvP Balance: Return of the KDR!

    We are turning the Kill/ Death Ratios back on with this publish. Global Damage Nerfs will scale from 15% at low-end Twinking to 50% at End Game.

    Sorcerers Changes:

    Smurf Love!

    - Increase the number of targets Fireball can hit by 2
    - Fireball Mastery now increases the number of targets Fireball can hit by 1 for every 2 points, and decreases the cooldown of fireball by .1 second for each point
    - Increase the damage output of Charged Time Shift on the initial drop of the Clock
    - Lifegiver’s Healing effects over time will now stack

    Early Game Changes

    Some of you may have noticed a small bot infestation in Arlor earlier this week. Rest assured, we were tracking them the entire time and removing any gold they farmed. They did do us a favor by pointing out a couple of issues with the early game that we have decided to change:

    1) Early Game Rewards. Our intent in levels 1-10 was that you earned enough gold to purchase some nice early game equipment. Unfortunately, some people took advantage of this and would create new characters, run to 10, delete and repeat. This is not fair for the general population, and accordingly we have removed the bulk gold rewards from these levels. Instead now early players will be granted a series of chests with Legendary (non-tradable) items at levels 2, 5, 10, 15, and 20. This should be enough to help Newbies well on their way while maintaining a fair playing field for everyone.

    2) Trading/ Gifting/ Consignment Shop Access. Starting today, any character that wants to use the trade, gift, or use the consignment shop must have the Arlor Trader’s Permit. These permits cost 100 Story Tokens, which require 10 days of running Story Quests from the Wandering Minstrel, who is located scattered around Arlor. The good news for all of you is that if you have an account that was created before 4/7/16 you have already been granted this Trader’s Permit.

    As an aside, you should never purchase gold (or any other game asset) from an out-of-game vendor. The least that will happen is a permanent ban on your account. The worst that can happen is identity theft. These folks are criminals with no compunction about ruining your game experience (or credit history). They do not have your best interests in mind. ‘Nuff said.

    Other PvE/ Bug Fixes

    - Level 47 Mythic Forged Weapons can now be converted into 300 Cryostar Coins through the crafting menu. The crafting option will only appear if you own one of the Mythic weapons.
    - Increased AntiGnome Set Necklace drop chance in Gold Heretic Chests
    - Adjusted damage of Noxious bolt in instances it was dealing too much with mastery
    - Added special Jewel Conversion Recipes for 6 weak -> 1 fortified
    - Fixed a logic issue that was granting Elite Underhul Access before it should have been
    - Haxonite now grants raw damage instead of Damage % bonus on AA
    - Swift no longer heals enemies when pulling them with AA
    - Fixed issue preventing Elite Underhul dungeons from counting towards daily underhul quests
    - Increased XP gain for Elite Underhul
    - Reduced the maximum level of Shuyal Elites to 49, tindirin to 59
    - Rengol elite attribute tables have been reduced to max level of 58
    - Corrected an issue where mobs in Underhul could heal indefinitely

    Question about the Elite Runners Chests: Do they have their own separate drop chance? Potentially giving a shot for 2 chests from one boss? I think it should, right?

    Stop nerfing nox bolt mastery omg. The only reason i sunk 10 points into that mastery is to deal more damage.

    I thought mastery is supposed to improve a skill, so why the nox bolt damage nerf?

    A visual bug only if it does that, behind the scenes it is properly doing 2 additional targets + the 1 additional every other point in the mastery

    We found 2 more cases where Noxious Bolt was dealing 10% more damage per mastery point instead of the stated 1%. This was only adjusted to ensure you receive what you put points into
